HCW #3 - It's NOT a lack of knowledge that's holding you back

Quote of the week

Keeping your body healthy is an expression of gratitude to the whole cosmos- the trees, the clouds, everything.

Post of the week

90% of the time it's NOT a lack of knowledge that's holding back your health goals.

So what’s holding you back?

1) lack of implementation, and

2) lack of accountability.

You have more information about health and wellness than ever before.

You are constantly bombarded with information about the latest health trends, diets, and exercise routines.

Yet you struggle to actually implement these practices into your daily life.

You don't need more knowledge, you need more implementation and accountability.

The good news is that implementing healthy habits and finding accountability doesn't have to be a daunting task.

Start small by setting achievable goals for yourself, such as:

  • take a daily walk,

  • drinking more water,

  • go to bed at regular times,

  • eat fruit and veggies with every meal

Find a support system that works for you.

  • join a support group,

  • find a workout buddy,

  • join an online community, or

  • hire a personal trainer or coach (I happen to know a great coach 😉)

Top Tip:

If we tell a friend that we will meet them at the gym at 6 am, we are more likely to show up.

Remember that progress is not always linear.

There will be setbacks and bumps in the road.

Just be consistent, and be kind to yourself along the way.

I've made this journey myself, so I speak from experience.

Just get started...
